Bio

Mark Ranson, MD, FACS is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon. Upon earning his medical degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, he sought his surgery residency training at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC, followed by a fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, completed at New York University School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Ranson specializes in arterial aneurysms, endovascular treatment of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, minimally-invasive arterial and venous therapy, carotid artery disease and a host of other conditions. Dr. Ranson provides his patients with the most advanced medical management, non-operative, operative, and minimally invasive treatments of vascular disease. With the assistance of a state-of-the-art vascular laboratory, Dr. Ranson utilizes enhanced diagnostic imaging services and provides his patients with individualized treatment plans that suit their needs. Dr. Ranson has been an active member in the Society of Vascular Surgeons, the International Society of Endovascular Specialists, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has also been published in several medical journals.
